You can host Database on different host than the one that is hosting your site so you do not have to pay more for storage , just use your computer or some free host with SQL support to host your DB.

P.S. I suggest JustHOST hosting because they offer unlimited DB space,Unlimited Databases, Unlimited hosting space, Unlimited subdomains, Unlimited e-mall accounts, Unlimited FTP accounts.
