for title you dont need to shows that its required becoz news will not submitted untill someone add a title to it... add the text (Required) with the fields in addnews.tpl

dear admin one more thing related to the keywords.
For example: "dle, viet" is inserted into database as two separate tags(dle and viet). But "dle viet" is taken as one tag (dle viet), what i want is "dle viet" should be taken as two separate tags (dle and viet). Hope you get my point, thanks.

i have installed DLE8.3 for my website and i have a few questions here.

1. Is this version already bundled with 'thanks' module?

2. Is this version can be upgraded from dle8.3 to 8.5?

more comments about datalife engine and hope that the next version can be improved for more security

1. The subcategories doesn't have option for group access.
i.e. some website has pay membership and probably webmaster wish to hide the subcategories to the guest/nonpaid member and it's just visible for paid member.

2. The Block is also doesn't have option for group view.



i have installed fresh copy of DataLife Engine v.8.5 FULL English by DLEVIET (UTF-8)on localhost for testing before it migrated to webserver...everything goes fine during installation.

When i click 'view live site' and it goes white screen without any template ...and empty...the only thing appear was the site name on the top.

Can advise what's wrong?

To see the content of page must edit config of appache server or whatever you use to add .php instead of .html
PATH TO APPACHE\conf\httpd.conf

Suppose you want apache to use index.html, index.php or main.php as the directory index you can modify the DirectoryIndex value like this :

DirectoryIndex index.html index.php main.php

Now whenever you request a directory such as http://localhost/ Apache will try to find the index.html file or if it's not found Apache will use index.php. In case index.php is also not found then main.php will be used.

i have another question and hope that someone who expert datalife engine could answer this:-
1. My site was set to OFFLINE mode for something purpose and at the time, there were a few members were online on my website.

2. How come when these members refresh the webpage or click HOME, they are still online and no message 'this website is temporarily offline' and how to 'force the user logout' ?

Another funny thing about DLE :-

1. Enable new user registration:
Enable or disable the new user registration function.

- if set to disable, the login page at the website is totally disappear and how the existing member want to login.

Your replied were 'impossible' .have u tested by put your site offline during members are online the website?. Ask them to refresh the page. They were not Admin Group....just a ordinary member only.


2. No...I tested at backend by put the 'disable' for 'New User Registration' and i logged out. I then go to my website and the login box was totally dissapear on my site and i could not login.
By right, the link 'register' should be deactivated in the login box if we put 'disable'.

You can test it by yourself.

I have used that software to scan my computer, but it didn't get anything!

Virustotal mate. ClamAv alerts PUA.script.packed-2. Please check if other member get the same error.

I used http://www.virustotal.com to scan and I see all version of DLE have that problem
I don't know why!

even mysite ....earlier installed..scan for viruses, it's clean..but lately, when scan, Found suspicious files for all the .php

all >> you hosting or your computer(FTP client) have virus.
Please check and upgrade DLE to new fresh version.

I have downloaded this module www.scriptmafia.org/modules/9078-module-thank-you-for-83.htm but i could not understand as the instructions given in the txt file was not written in normal text...i could not read the text.

Well, actually revised, updated module "Thank you" for 8.0.

Fixes:
1) Do not be flip on top of the page
2) The author is not able to say "thank you" to yourself.
3) One and the same User can not add "thank you" many times in the same position
4) Removed extra 1 request and 1 extra variable added 1 request verification.
5) Instead of that would show how many times User said "Thank you", shows how many times nick said "Thank you"
6) Speed of processing script improved.
